The Korean drama “Into Your Time”, a remake of Taiwan’s “I Want to Meet You”that sparked a lot of discussion, has been a hot topic since it was released a few days ago. Director Kim Jin-won also revealed many behind-the-scenes stories that everyone doesn’t know.
“Into Your Time”is adapted from Taiwan’s popular TV series “Want to See You”. The plot describes Han Junxi, a woman whose boyfriend died in a plane crash a year ago. #Korean version of the Korean and English drama title
The original Taiwanese drama is “Want to See You”(in Korea it is literally translated as “상견니”with the pronunciation, but does not convey the meaning of “Want to See You”), while in English it is “Someday or One Day”, also It expresses the wish of the protagonists in the play to meet again even if they transcend time. As soon as the news of the remake in Korea came out, everyone was also paying attention to what the Korean drama title would be.
The director explained that there were many titles to choose from at the time, and he finally decided on a title that fit the theme of love across time and space. The English title “A Time Called You”can be interpreted as “time called you”or “time called you”. “Time is calling you”has a double meaning, so I finally chose this title.

The director also said that he wanted to find songs that have been passed down to this day and can fit the plot. In the play, the number of the original record store was also changed to “27 Record Store”. The reason is that there are many people in the Western music world. The 27-year-old club, many famous singers have passed away at the age of 27, but it also symbolizes that although these singers have left, their music will last forever. Seo Ji-won also only lived for a short 19 years, and ended his life by committing suicide in 1996. Although the background of this drama is 1998, this song was still chosen, and it has even been circulated to this day. Even the director chose classic songs for each character.
