As a result, as we age, certain specific cells in our hair become locked in one location and are unable to function effectively. These cells, known as McSCs, typically migrate between various regions of the hair follicle. The cells get signals in each of these areas that aid in their healthy growth and development.

But as we get older, more and more of these cells become immobile and trapped in one place. Our hair becomes gray as a result of this.

Reversing or Preventing Gray Hair

While though graying hair is frequently seen as a normal aspect of aging, some people may seek to stop or reverse it. The study’s findings, according to the researchers, may enable blocked cells travel between compartments of developing hair follicles once again.
