As the Jujutsu Kaisen manga nears its conclusion, fans are struggling to cope with the series’ break. While recent events suggest the manga’s impending end, there is uncertainty among fans about the identity of the ultimate antagonist.

Some fans hold the belief that the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, is the ultimate antagonist of the series. However, others have a different perspective. This is due to the trend in many Shonen manga series to conclude with a showdown against a previously unseen villain who was orchestrating events from behind the scenes.

Keeping this in mind, a fan put forward a theory that the ultimate antagonist in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga may not be Ryomen Sukuna, but instead something even more malevolent.

As the Jujutsu Kaisen manga nears its conclusion, a fan on Reddit, u/Rey_Saw, raised the question of who will emerge as the most powerful sorcerer by the end of the series. With Satoru Gojo having passed away and Ryomen Sukuna destined to meet his demise due to his involvement in the story, the protagonist, Yuji Itadori, will be the only remaining character in the manga.

Clearly, Yuji Itadori’s skills as a sorcerer have been developing rapidly. As a result, the fan had high hopes that the protagonist would eventually become the most powerful sorcerer in the series.

During a discussion on Reddit, a JJK fan named u/PeeBuzz proposed a theory that the most powerful sorcerer in the series could potentially be the creature formed by the upcoming Merger. According to the manga, the Merger is the merging of all humans in Japan with Tengen. As Tengen is not a human or a curse, but a transcended being, the fusion of this entity with 100 million individuals is sure to be extraordinary.

Despite the various forms of evil individuals present in the nation, the combination could result in the complete fusion of the merged monster into a malevolent being. This malevolent being would undoubtedly possess an immense amount of Cursed Energy, potentially making them the most powerful sorcerer by the conclusion of the series.

The potential of this creature to eliminate the majority of the cast is undeniable. Moreover, it has the potential to wield an endless array of Cursed Techniques. To compound the issue, fans are left in the dark concerning the appearance of the final form after the Merger. Although a humanoid form would be easier for Jujutsu sorcerers to combat, there is a high likelihood that the Merger entity will be intangible.

Even the devoted JJK fan u/PeeBuzz was convinced that the being could possibly be a destructive force of Curses capable of altering the very fabric of reality. As a result, it is possible that the ultimate antagonist in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga may be even more malevolent than Ryomen Sukuna. However, eager fans will have to patiently await further clues from the manga before any conclusions can be drawn.
