The First Descendant Players Slam Major Issue with Transcendent Mods

The First Descendant features a comprehensive system of modules that significantly impact the performance of each character. While players highly covet the Transcendent modules, they have also discovered a significant flaw in them.

A player expressed their opinion on Reddit, stating that they believe there are too many Transcendent mods with obscure or undisclosed effects, causing them to appear useless to the community.

Several were swift to concur, sharing their own instances of complicated guidelines accompanying modules.

A person mentioned, “Sometimes it seems like it’s been translated by AI. For example, Regenerative Braking for Lepic states, ‘It sometimes regenerates MP when using the skill…’ Which skill? I checked on another screen and it was clarified as, ‘It sometimes regenerates MP when using skills.’ Simply removing a word and making the skill plural resolved the confusion.”

Another person chimed in, stating, “I completely agree. Even if their intention for reducing clarity is to simplify the process, they can simply add a ‘view detailed information’ button.”

It is notable that the developer did not purposely conceal any possible negative consequences, as a response pointed out, “I am amused to see that some of the mods actually exceed their stated capabilities.”

While constructing my Ultimate Bunny, I made a modification to her 3rd skill which increased its damage but also limited the number of targets it can hit. Surprisingly, this alteration significantly decreased the skill’s cooldown time, while its duration remained unchanged. This was not mentioned anywhere, so I had to make significant changes to my build.

The lack of clarity on Transcendent modules has been a result of a larger problem with The First Descendant. Localization issues and unclear instructions have been prevalent throughout the game, leaving many members of the community confused about various aspects of the game.
