The most recent update from the First Descendant addressed the game’s most popular request by greatly reducing the cooldown times for Outpost Missions.
Completing Outpost Missions is vital in The First Descendant as they provide essential materials for upgrading your loot and unlocking Ultimate Descendants.
Despite completing these missions, players were met with frustration due to a mandatory five-minute cooldown period, rendering it “impossible to farm Ultimates.”
This period of inactivity left players with no choice but to either pass the time or find alternative solutions such as changing lobbies or teleporting to other areas.
The First Descendant’s Hotfix 1.0.4 was implemented in response to player feedback, significantly reducing the cooldown time of Outpost Missions to one minute. This allows players to easily resume missions without needing to use any alternative methods.
The latest update included new incentives, such as receiving gold in Special Operations and improving the method of obtaining Void Fragments, which had been criticized by players for being a tedious task.
The First Descendant Director Joo Min-seok announced that the cooldowns for all outposts have been reduced, allowing players to participate in them more often without intentionally failing. This eliminates the need for players to constantly search for outposts with shorter cooldowns by travelling throughout the map.
The change in the hotfix on Reddit has been met with warm reception by TFD players, who have praised it as a “godsend.”
“The reduction of the outpost timer cooldown to one minute has completely changed the game,”one player remarked. “It’s a relief not having to constantly switch regions anymore.”
One person praised, “What a great improvement. Now we don’t have to constantly warp in and out, which can be time-consuming for outposts located far from the teleport points.”
The developers of First Descendant continue to impress the community by actively listening to feedback and making requested changes.
This hotfix is a clear indication that the developers are committed to improving TFD based on player feedback, ensuring its continued growth and success despite previous criticisms. With the support of Asmongold and the fans, Nexon is positioning The First Descendant for long-term success.
