The band NewJeans was featured on Calm Down Man’s channel last year to promote their hit single “OMG” .

Upon further explanation, Calm Down Man stated, “Many may question my motive for writing the petition. I want to clarify that it was solely based on my personal feelings. It’s not a matter of whether HYBE or ADOR is superior or inferior. I simply did not want CEO Min to lose her position. When I had the chance to meet her, I could sense a strong synergy between NewJeans and CEO Min, and they appeared to have a positive working relationship. It was clear to me that she took great pride in her work.”

He clarified, “The petition does not require any explanation. I am not in favor of choosing sides. It was solely based on my emotions towards the dismissal and nothing else.”

At the same time, there have been petitions circulating against HYBE’s CEO Min Hee-jin. Notable individuals such as Pledis’ Han Sung-soo and Source Music’s So Sung-jin were among those who signed the petitions.

Last month, HYBE filed a complaint against CEO Min Hee-jin for breaching their duty. In response, ADOR has requested a court injunction to prevent HYBE from exercising their voting rights. HYBE has scheduled an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting for ADOR on May 31st.
