The iOS 16.4 update has been confirmed for all Apple iPhones.

Apple iPhones will receive the iOS 16.4 update later this month. The new version of the operating system will bring a slew of exciting new features to what is arguably the world’s most popular flagship mobile lineup. The Cupertino-based tech behemoth has already confirmed the list of updated devices. The list appears to be identical to that for the iOS 16.2 and 16.3 updates.

This week, multiple iPhones will be updated to iOS 16.4.

The latest version of the iPhone operating system will be available on major devices almost two months after iOS 16.3. 16.2 was released in mid-December, so it’s safe to assume that Apple releases updates every one to two months.

It’s worth noting that the latest version will be released a few months before the release of iOS 17, Apple’s next smartphone operating system. According to recent leaks, the company will reveal the next version on June 5.

Following the fourth iOS 16 update, Apple is preparing for iOS 16.5, which is expected to be released in late April or May.

However, for the time being, the iOS 16.4 update will be available for the following Apple iPhones:

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14 Pro
  • iPhone 14 Plus
  • iPhone 14
  • iPhone SE (3rd generation)
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13 Pro
  • iPhone 13 mini
  • iPhone 13
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 Pro
  • iPhone 12 mini
  • iPhone 12
  • iPhone SE (2nd generation)
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 8

The update is now available in public beta. If iOS enthusiasts cannot wait for the public rollout, they can install the latest version, which was released on March 21; however, it is recommended that users wait for the final release to avoid any bugs or unexpected behavior.

It’s worth noting that neither the open beta nor the public rollout of the update are compatible with the iPhone 6, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, or the first-generation iPhone SE. Users with these older models will need to upgrade to at least the iPhone 8 to gain access to iOS 16.4.

Some intriguing new features are on their way to iPhones, but users should not expect anything spectacular. The update will keep the current version’s overall aesthetic and working principles.
