The Irregular at Magic High School: Season 3 PV Reveals New Arc, New Ending Theme, and More

On Friday, April 26, 2024, a new trailer and visual for the upcoming arc of the third season of The Irregular at Magic High School were revealed. Titled the Steeple Chase Arc, the arc will begin with the next episode of the series premiering in Japan on Friday, May 3, 2024.

The latest promotional video for The Irregular at Magic High School season 3’s Steeple Chase Arc also gave viewers a sneak peek at the new ending theme song, Snow Noir, to be sung by Sangatsu no Phantasia. At the time of writing this article, it appears that there will not be a new opening theme for this upcoming arc.

The third season of The Irregular at Magic High School is the ongoing anime adaptation of the light novel series by author Tsutomu Sato and illustrator Kana Ishida. The franchise was first published as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website by Sato in October 2008 and concluded in March 2011.

As previously stated, The Irregular at Magic High School season 3 unveiled a 30-second trailer for its upcoming Steeple Chase Arc, which also featured a sneak peek of the new ending theme song for this particular storyline. Along with this announcement, a new key visual for the arc was also released.

The much-awaited Spring 2024 anime series premiered in Japan on Friday, April 5, 2024 on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11. Prior to its release, an exclusive screening was held on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Fans worldwide can catch the series on Crunchyroll, with weekly episodes streaming with subtitles as they air in Japan.

LiSA has been confirmed to sing the opening theme song, Shouted Serenade, for the third season, while Kairi Yagi will be performing the ending theme song, recall, for the Double Seven Arc. According to reports, ASCA will be providing the ending theme song, Shion no Hanataba, which translates to A Bouquet of Purple Flowers, for the Koto Nairan-hen, also known as the Ancient City Rebellion Arc.

The main cast of the series includes Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba, Yuichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba, and Kiyono Yasuno as Minami Sakurai.

The anime’s third season will see the return of Yumi Uchiyama as Erika Chiba, Satomi Satou as Mizuki Shibata, Takuma Terashima as Leonhart Saijo, Atsushi Tamaru as Mikihiko Yoshida, and Sora Amamiya as Honoka Mitsui, reprising their roles from previous seasons.

The series will also feature Yuiko Tatsumi as Shizuku Kitayama, Emiri Kato as Fumiya Kuroba, Aoi Yuki as Izumi Saegusa, Maaya Uchida as Ayako Kuroba, Kana Hanazawa as Kasumi Saegusa, Eri Kitamura as Kasumi Saegusa, and Koji Yusa as Zhou Gongjin in its cast.

The original light novel series, which served as the basis for the television anime, was first published in July 2011 and ended in September 2020 after 32 volumes. A sequel light novel, written by Sato and Ishida, began in January 2021 and is currently ongoing with six volumes released. In addition, a theatrical anime film was also released in 2017.
