The Jujutsu Kaisen Character Making a Return in Chapter 260 May Not Be Gojo, and It’s Perfectly Suited

The latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, chapter 260, hinted at the reappearance of Gojo Satoru, much to the excitement of eager fans. Yet, a theory circulating about X suggests that the character may not be Gojo after all. Instead, it is speculated that Kenjaku may have taken over Gojo’s body.

It is well-known that followers of the series are aware of Kenjaku’s ability to switch bodies with Suguru Geto after his passing. Based on the recurring themes often utilized by creator Gege Akutami, it is plausible to speculate that a similar event may have occurred in this situation.

Additionally, if this is indeed true, it would be appropriate to the narrative for a few reasons.

The Possibility of Gojo Not Returning in Chapter 260 of Jujutsu Kaisen Makes Sense

In chapter 260 of Jujutsu Kaisen, the final portion hints at the possible return of Gojo Satoru. Fans have long been hoping for the Six Eyes user to make a comeback, and it appears that Akutami has responded to their pleas in this chapter. However, a theory circulating on X suggests a different outcome.

According to @holy_yuji, the enigmatic figure could possibly be Gojo, but this is not entirely certain. This suggests that someone else may be inhabiting Gojo’s body, and the most likely candidate in this situation is Kenjaku. The theory proposes that, much like when Kenjaku arrived in Shibuya to absorb a defeated Mahito, he may make a reappearance to do the same once again.

The situation remained unchanged, with Sukuna nearing defeat after using up his Cursed Technique and Yuji, on the other hand, showing a significant transformation. However, since Geto’s body was no longer available, Gojo Satoru, his closest companion, became the next viable choice.

This theory is supported by some convincing evidence. For instance, the series appears to revolve around the concept of cyclicality. Upon closer examination, there are several instances where characters go through a complete cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

For example, Toji Fushiguro’s death and subsequent resurrection through Granny Ogami’s seance; Gojo’s brush with death and subsequent emergence as “the Strongest”; Mechamaru’s rebirth with a fully functioning body courtesy of Mahito; and the reincarnation of Heian Era sorcerers for the Culling Games.

Supporting this theory is the strong bond between Gojo and Geto as brothers. Their undeniable closeness needs no explanation. However, their decision to pursue different paths played a vital role in the series and greatly impacted the story.

Kenjaku was able to take advantage of this situation by pretending to be Geto, catching Gojo off guard and ultimately leading to his defeat and sealing. As a result, it is not surprising that both characters met a similar fate in the end.

It is possible that Akutami is foreshadowing Yuji’s ultimate confrontation with his true parental figure. The revelation that Kenjaku is Yuji’s biological parent and Sukuna is his uncle has been confirmed. As Yuji has already faced and fought Sukuna in a climactic battle, it may be that his final battle will be against Kenjaku, who is currently inhabiting Gojo’s body.

In a parallel to the Shibuya Incident’s conclusion, Yuji would defeat Mahito and Kenjaku would arrive to absorb him, gaining his power. This would grant Sukuna, also known as Megumi Fushiguro, the ability to initiate the Tengen-Humanity Merger. In a potential turn of events, Kenjaku could then absorb a weakened Sukuna and take hold of this authority.

Concluding Remarks

In conclusion, in this particular theory, there is evidence that Ui Ui was responsible for protecting Gojo’s body, as confirmed by Sukuna. However, it is also possible that Mei Mei and Kenjaku reached an agreement to exchange Gojo’s body for money and her own safety. This is supported by Mei Mei’s sudden retreat during the Shibuya Incident.

Based on the information provided, there is another theory that appears to be highly probable. Despite many fans of Jujutsu Kaisen hoping for Gojo’s return, Akutami may choose to fulfill their wishes with a twist, as he has done in the past. This would not be the first instance of him surprising his audience with a major plot twist.
