Pedro Pascal has already finished filming season 2 of The Last of Us, which clearly does not please fans of his character Joel.
Season 1 of The Last of Us was unanimously acclaimed, winning numerous prestigious awards for the year 2023. And it’s not about to stop, because HBO is actively working on the sequel to the adaptation of the game video from Naughty Dog studio.
However, not everyone is involved in the same way in the production, which has already been completed for Pedro Pascal. The star of the series, playing the famous and much-loved Joel, has indeed completed his work for this highly anticipated sequel. And in the opinion of many fans, this early end of filming is far from announcing good news.

The rest of the cast is still filming, so expect Joel to experience a similar fate to his video game counterpart. If the most pessimistic spectators are convinced that the protagonist will disappear from the first episode, it is still worth remembering that the format of the series can allow a modification of the chronology. Not to mention that showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann can have fun adapting the events of the video game by slightly modifying them.
In any case, the result will probably remain the same: the favorite character of players and spectators may well disappear in season 2 of The Last of Us.
