Initially teased to be featured in chapter 13, Boruto’s interaction with Kashin Koji garnered a lot of attention. Recent updates on the latest chapter have revealed information that strongly suggests the existence of a multiverse in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
It goes without saying that the conversation between the two revealed more than expected. As a result of previous choices, the future was constantly altered, resulting in the creation of multiple “branches”with different potential outcomes.
Although Koji mentioned in one timeline that despite using Baryon Mode, Naruto Uzumaki was unable to defeat Isshiki Otsutsuki. This led to the latter being reborn in Kawaki, who then proceeded to plant the God Tree and bring about the destruction of the world. However, in a different timeline, Kawaki sealed away Naruto and Hinata, and then went on to kill Boruto and Sarada. Eventually, Kawaki met his demise at the hands of Code. These were potential future outcomes that were ultimately prevented.
Despite this, there were still potential scenarios that had yet to occur and could potentially become a reality. Koji’s revelations indicated that each significant event that had taken place had impacted the future and spawned a separate timeline. As a result, while the worst outcomes had been avoided up to this point, there was no assurance that the danger had completely passed.
Additionally, Koji possessed a skill known as “Ten Directions”which granted him the ability to peer into all potential outcomes before any of them came to pass. He explained that at pivotal moments when choices were made, known as crossroads, narratives diverged.
The decisions made had a significant impact on the future. One notable instance was when Boruto was supposed to perish, but Sarada activated her Mangekyo Sharingan, ultimately preventing his death. This resulted in the creation of a new reality branch. Just like this situation, several choices were made that led to the formation of alternative paths.
