The Moment YG’s Yang Hyun-suk Reminded Us of 2NE1’s Iconic Hit Clap Your Hands

Despite a hiatus of seven years, 2NE1, the group known for breaking records and amassing millions of views, has returned to their official YouTube channel for their comeback. Their loyal subscribers, who have not unsubscribed, still amount to an impressive 5.8 million.

In a recent announcement, 2NE1 revealed their plans for a ‘reopening’ by sharing a live video of member CL on their official YouTube channel. The video showcases CL’s unexpected appearance at junior group TREASURE’s concert on the 15th, where she delivered solo performances of popular hits such as ‘The Baddest Female’ and ‘MTBD’.

The heartwarming union between ‘Living Legend’ CL and YG’s mainstay group TREASURE was clearly displayed in the video, evident even in the expressions of YG Entertainment’s (YG) head producer, Yang Hyun-suk. Yang made a surprise appearance at the end of the video, capturing attention with his enthusiastic and lengthy applause.

Alongside BIGBANG, 2NE1 played a key role in the rise of K-pop idols with multiple music videos reaching hundreds of millions of views. These include ‘I Am the Best’, with a total of 380 million views, as well as ‘Come Back Home’ and ‘LONELY’, all holding the title of ‘million-view’ status.

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of 2NE1’s debut, the group will be reuniting with their label YG, where they were first formed and nurtured, for a special concert. Titled ‘2NE1 Concert Welcome Back,’ the show will begin in Seoul in October and continue to Kobe, Japan in November and Tokyo in December. Due to the high demand, the Seoul concert, originally scheduled for two days, has been extended to three days, with tens of thousands of fans on the waiting list.
