Fans of Pokémon Go have started a debate among PvP players about who their most “hated” opponents were during battles competitive.
An important element of Pokémon Go is the competitive battle scene, which has even made its way into official competitive tournaments in recent years, like the Pokémon Worlds.
With so many Pokémon to choose from, many players try to get creative with the monsters they bring into the different Leagues. However, there are always strong Pokémon that stand out from the competition.
So, some fans on social media started a debate about who was the most “hated” Pokémon opponent in the Pokémon Go PvP scene.
Pokémon Go fans debate who is the most “hated” opponent in PvP
A post on the Pokémon Go subreddit started the debate, when a user named SnooPets7261 asked: “PvP players, what Pokémon do you hate facing the most?”

He shared two screenshots showing Laggron and Vigoroth, then explained: “I can’t choose between the two. I hate them both equally.”
He went on to say: “Maybe Laggron a little more. I have a very good win rate against both, but yet I never seem to enjoy these battles even when I win.”
Many players agreed that they were tired of seeing Laggron in competitive play as it is one of the most common Pokémon.
A small number of players mentioned Flâmigator. “Flâmigator is the bane of my existence,” said one player. Another said: “Flâmigator hurts. I don’t have any Pokémon that are particularly good for GL Remix, and this one particularly hurts my Terraist/Chrysapile/Steelix team if they have shields…”
More common choices in the comments were Pokémon like Melmetal, Amphinobi, and Giratina.
“Giratina has a really strong defense and barely any weaknesses. I hate him,” said one fan. Many others agreed, with one player saying it was the reason he “hated the Ultra League” .
Considering the ever-changing meta of Pokémon Go’s PvP space, it will be interesting to see which Pokémon become the most hated in future seasons.
