The most insignificant My Hero Academia arc proves Endeavor could’ve been the best teacher for Deku

As avid followers are aware, My Hero Academia’s Izuku Midoriya has exhibited a tendency to overthink since the start of the series. He frequently delves too deeply into a situation and talks at length about it until he is either interrupted or has completed his thoughts. This is a trait that is often not well-received by Deku’s fellow classmates.

To the audience’s surprise, addressing Deku’s behavior resulted in Endeavor gaining their support. This is due to the fact that handling Deku’s outspoken observations requires great patience. Astonishingly, Endeavor demonstrated an abundance of patience during the Endeavor Agency Arc.

In season 5 of My Hero Academia, Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, and Katsuki Bakugo completed their work studies at the Endeavor Agency under the guidance of No. 1 Pro Hero Endeavor. As instructed, Endeavor worked with the trio to identify their weaknesses and improve upon them.

Therefore, upon the three heroes’ meeting, Endeavor inquired about Deku and Bakugo’s current abilities and areas they wanted to improve on. This gave Deku the chance to vocalize his thoughts to Endeavor.

As predicted, when Midoriya started vocalizing his thoughts, Katsuki Bakugo grew irritated, aware that Deku would continue to rant for an extended period.

Unsurprisingly, Deku excitedly described how he had been diligently honing his quirk’s abilities and mastering Air Force by carefully controlling his energy levels. Suddenly, a new quirk, Black Whip, joined his arsenal, presenting a challenge as he struggled to balance his strength and effectively utilize all of his techniques.

Despite Deku’s attempts, he was unable to effectively summarize his thoughts, resulting in an excessively long dialogue that left Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, and Moe Kamiji confused. Surprisingly, Endeavor was able to attentively listen to Deku and fully comprehend his words. As a result, the No. 1 Pro Hero was able to succinctly summarize Deku’s thoughts in a clearer manner.

Endeavor’s willingness to patiently listen to Deku without showing any signs of annoyance and his ability to fully comprehend what was being said speaks to his potential as a great teacher. This was particularly impressive given that it was their first open conversation. Despite Deku’s behavior which may have been perceived as annoying, Endeavor remained unfazed and unsurprised.

Considering Deku’s tendency to engage in lengthy monologues due to his overthinking, Endeavor would have been an ideal mentor for him. However, his dedication to being the No. 1 Pro Hero resulted in him prioritizing his hero duties. Nevertheless, it is possible that once the battle against All For One concludes, Endeavor may consider a change in his priorities and take on a teaching role.

Despite being mere speculation and not hinted at in the manga series, fans would already be aware of Endeavor’s capabilities if the manga were to take such a direction.

Horikoshi may never do it, but giving Invisible Girl a costume in My Hero Academia would be a simple task.

Eliminating Endeavor would ultimately be detrimental to his character development.
