The Latest Recap of The New Gate Episode 3
In episode 3 of The New Gate, titled A Strange Request, Shin entered into a contract with the Elementail he had rescued in the previous episode. He chose to name the Elementail Yuzuha, to which it happily agreed. Afterwards, he went to the guild to report the incident and took on a formal quest from the orphanage where Millie came from.
Upon his arrival, he immediately requested to meet with the head of the orphanage in order to see Millie. After a joyous reunion, Millie expressed her gratitude to Shin for rescuing Yuzuha. The head of the orphanage then presented Shin with a quest: to teach one of the orphanage’s sisters the Purify magic. Without hesitation, Shin accepted the task without expecting any form of compensation.
The episode continued with Shin meeting Lucia, the sister whom the head person had mentioned as the one who would teach him the magic skill. Wilhelm then arrived and expressed suspicion towards Shin, accusing him of fraud. However, the sisters quickly defended him, stating their belief in his abilities. Later that night, Wilhelm took Shin to a bar and questioned him about being a chosen one. As Shin had only recently been reincarnated, he was unfamiliar with this term.
The following day, Wilhelm teamed up with Shin and Lucia to teach Purify magic to Shin’s sister, after clearing any doubts they had. During their mission, Wilhelm and Shin handled the monster attacks, while Lucia delivered the final blow.
While Schnee was accompanying the royal army on their mission to subjugate the Skullface Jacks, the rest of the group continued with their activities on the other side of the forest.
