The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Akuyaku Reijo Tensei Oji-san, also known as The Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess, is scheduled to debut in Winter 2025. The show’s official staff released a promotional video and key visual on Thursday, August 1, 2024, confirming its premiere date. Additionally, the main cast and staff for the series have also been announced.

The Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess anime is an adaptation of the eponymous Isekai manga series written and illustrated by Michiro Ueyama, produced by Ajiado.

Since March 2020, Shonen Gahosha’s Young King Ours GH magazine has been publishing the manga in serial form. Currently, six volumes have been released, and the seventh volume is set to be published on August 5, 2024.

The official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for The Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess anime shared a trailer and visual on Thursday, August 1, 2024, announcing that the Isekai series will premiere in Winter 2025, specifically in January of that year.

The staff also disclosed the broadcast details, which state that The Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess anime will be airing its episodes every week on 28 MBS and TBS affiliated channels in the Super Animeism TURBO programming slot, beginning in January 2025.

The most recent promotional video opens with Kenzaburo Tondabayashi being caught in a traffic accident while attempting to rescue a child. As a result, the elderly man is reborn as the stunning antagonist, Grace.

Surprisingly, the brief video depicts Kenzaburo’s bewilderment upon being reborn as Grace and his growing apprehension over his ability to act as a villainess lady.

The anime has released a key visual featuring Kenzaburo Tendabayashi and his reincarnated self, Grace, which creates the illusion that they are mirror images.

The Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess: Cast, Staff, and Plot

The anime’s main cast and staff have been revealed, with Kazuhiko Inoe as the lead actor portraying Kenzaburo Tondabayashi and M.A.O lending her voice to the character’s reincarnated form, Grace Auvergne, who is the antagonist.

Tetsuya Takeuchi helms the Isekai fantasy series at Ajiado, with Shingo Irie overseeing the scripts and providing writing. The series’ music is composed by Natsumi Tabuchi, Kaho Sawada, Tsugumi Tanaka, Misaki Tsuchida, and Reiko Abe.

Haruka Matsunae is acknowledged for her work as the character designer, with Yuki Miyamoto also being recognized for her contribution as the monster designer. Additional members of the staff include Toshiki Kameyama as the sound director, Haruko Nobori as the color designer, Kotomi Murayama as the director of photography, Chiho Wada as the art director, Ryo Hirata as the prop designer, and other talented individuals.

The anime adaptation of Michiro Ueyama’s manga series, The Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess, centers around Kenzaburo Tondabayashi, a 52-year-old government worker who unexpectedly dies in a tragic accident. However, his story does not end there as he wakes up in a new world, reincarnated as Grace Auvergne, the “villainess”daughter of a powerful duke.
