The Oppo Reno 5 F is the most recent Oppo phone to receive an official Android 13 update. It also includes ColorOS 13, the most recent custom UI build for Oppo phones. Yes, even after half a year, some devices are still waiting for the Android 13 update. These are mostly older or lower-end phones.
Oppo Reno 5 F is a two-year-old phone that was released in 2021 with Android 11-based ColorOS 11. Later, the phone received its first major update, Android 12. After a long wait, the device is finally receiving the second major update, ColorOS 13 based on Android 13.
The Android 13 update for the Oppo Reno5 F is now available in Indonesia. It has the build number F.51. It should be available soon in other regions where the device is sold. Oppo, as usual, announced the news in the ColorOS community.
The Oppo Reno5 F Android 13 update adds a slew of new features. And the majority of the features are the same as those found in the update for other Oppo phones. Aquamorphic design, improved animations, new app icons, support for large widgets and folders on the home screen, per app language preference, notification permission for each app, and many other features are included. Along with new features, the security patch level will be updated.
The update is being rolled out to Oppo Reno5 F users in batches. This means that the update could arrive on your phone at any time if it isn’t already. However, make sure your phone is running the most recent Android 12 build (C.39/C.40).
You can manually check for updates by going to Settings > About Device. You can download the update once it is available.
