The Overlooked LMG in MW3 Has a Very Fast TTK, But There’s a Catch

Despite their initial lackluster performance, LMGs in Modern Warfare 3 may see an improvement thanks to an oft-overlooked Aftermarket Part designed for the Bruen Mk9.

Despite the dominance of LMGs like the Holger 26 and RAPP H in Warzone, they are not commonly used in multiplayer. Apart from the DG-58 LSW’s short period as a popular gun choice, LMGs have generally been underwhelming and overshadowed by assault rifles.

Despite its release in Season 3, the JAK Shadow Titan Kit for the Bruen Mk.9 has recently gained recognition as a top contender in the meta. This conversion kit offers a well-rounded and versatile weapon, although it has not been widely utilized until now.

Despite being often overlooked, the LMG in Call of Duty received recognition from veteran player XclusiveAce. He expressed how the weapon performs exceptionally well in mid to long-range battles and can still hold its own in close combat. He also commended its fast handling, integrated suppressor, manageable recoil, and quick time to kill.

Ace suggests using this underrated LMG with the following loadout:

  • Conversion Kit: JAK Shadow Titan Kit
  • Laser: 1mW Quick Fire Laser
  • Optic: JAK Glassless Optic
  • Stock: Lane-56 Stock
  • Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop

Ace was thoroughly impressed by the JAK Shadow Titan Kit and even stated that they had “found a ton of success”while using this AMP. They praised it for its versatility and overall effectiveness, as long as it is used correctly.

Instead of constantly moving and using weapons like an SMG or mobile AR, it is more effective to be cautious, utilize strategic positions, and maintain a distance from enemies whenever feasible. This is because the JAK Shadow Titan Kit has a swift TTK of only 285 ms, making it an exceptional choice for long-range combat up to 30 meters.

Regrettably, there is a major drawback to this seemingly flawless firearm. The Bruen Mk9 has a 50 ms delay when firing from an open bolt, resulting in a brief pause between pulling the trigger and the start of firing.

This not only impacts its theoretical TTK when facing off against other players, but it may also require some adjustment, especially for those who are not frequent LMG users. While the pause may not be significant in most scenarios, it could potentially lead to defeat in a close gun battle against the dominant weapons in MW3.
