Complete List of 50 Art Scroll Locations in The Plucky Squire
- The first art scroll is located early in the game. After Violet joins Jot on their journey to Tome Tower, look for it behind a tree and some bushes in the middle of the next page.
- After completing the gate puzzle, you will encounter Martina the vendor for the first time. You will need to purchase the next art scroll from her. IMPORTANT: You must buy each art scroll as soon as they become available. For instance, Martina won’t sell a Chapter 1 art scroll again when met in Chapter 9. Each scroll costs 20 idea lightbulbs, so ensure you have at least that many for when you next see Martina.
- In Chapter 2, after descending the cliff and avoiding the boulders, you can find the art scroll hidden behind trees at the upper part of the page with the red bull.
- The next art scroll can be purchased from the vendor upon encountering Martina once more.
- Outside of Tome Tower, where the text reads, “There was a strange electricity in the air,” hit a tree on the bottom left side to reveal an art scroll.
- This scroll can be bought from the vendor after you finish the dark cave level.
- At Tome Tower, on the pages stacked with books, an art scroll is hidden among the books behind some bushes on the lower left side.
- In Chapter 3, you can locate this art scroll hidden behind a tree in the top right area of Moonbeard’s house when you go to grab his drink.
- This art scroll can also be found before fetching Moonbeard’s drink. After Jot jumps out of the book for the first time, head to the rear of Sam’s desk. You’ll spot a long domino leaning against a paint tub. Ascend the domino by jumping towards the right where you will find a ruler, and walk across it to discover the art scroll on the right.
- Purchase an art scroll from Martina after completing the “huge insect” puzzle in Chapter 4.
- This scroll is hidden inside a whappable tree on the left side while you are solving the daytime/nighttime singing frogs puzzle.
- In Chapter 4’s cave, jump into the dark area above the exit arrow to unveil a hidden room containing the art scroll.
- This scroll can be found in the real world as Jot searches for a ranged weapon. Move a necessary block to proceed past the My Talkin’ Minibeard. As you move it, look for something glowing and floating. Walk back towards this area and Jot will find the art scroll.
- After unlocking the castle in the real world, head to the top right of your screen. You will notice a crevice next to a clock (which is actually the logo of developer All Possible Futures). Go inside, and Jot will collect the scroll.

- Inside the queen’s castle, this art scroll is behind a thumbtack located in the top right of the page.
- Hidden in a tree on the Trarrg Mountain pages, where you must collect two keys. Launch Jot to the left and again to the top left corner of the level. Hit the tree to uncover the art scroll.
- Purchased from Martina early on in Trarrg Mountain.
- When Jot enters the inky black page that leads to the cave entrance at Trarrg, head to the bottom right where the art scroll should be easily visible.
- In the real-world section after finding the metal saw in the storybook, when Jot gets Zip the jetpack, he has to locate three missing pieces of Zip’s father. On the left side, there is a My Talkin’ Minibeard indicating the part is close by. Don’t enter the portal yet; instead, utilize the jetpack to ascend the left side, hit a tree to reveal the art scroll.
- In the same level where you search for pieces of Zip’s father, look for a coffee mug where the Jelly King resides on the right side of the desk. Use the jetpack to land inside the mug to acquire the scroll.

- Following the defeat of enemies and securing the hot air balloon in Chapter 7, you’ll progress to the next room, where Violet rejoins you. Temporary companion Tumbra will progress towards the right, revealing an ‘X’ behind some rocks and a tree. Have Tumbra dig there to uncover an art scroll.
- After encountering tanks in the book, Jot will return to the real world to search for an item. On the left side of the desk, eliminate all the enemies to unlock the coffee mug portal. Enter it and explore inside to find the art scroll.
- This art scroll becomes visible in a 2D section upon entering the ‘Jurassic Park.’ Proceed to the right until you leap onto the back of the large orange dinosaur Anni. Walk down her leg to collect the art scroll.
- After emerging from Anni, continue up the window sill. Instead of following the arrow into the 2D dinosaur scene, walk all the way to the right to encounter the art scroll.
- After obtaining the bomb stamp, blow up the tanks and proceed right to destroy a metal block. The art scroll will now be available in the storybook world.
- In the cave level, where you need to use the bomb stamp to progress, the art scroll resides in a dark secret room directly across from the exit platform.
- In Chapter 7, you can buy from the vendor right after the cave with the bomb puzzle. This vendor is unmissable.
- In the introductory area of Chapter 8, after Private Crystal tells you about Humgrump’s invasion of Artia, head to the top left corner of the page. Hit the tree to uncover an art scroll.
- After defeating Humgrump’s forces in Artia City’s square, instead of heading to the castle, go to the right section of the map. The art scroll is in the crayon-head building alongside a clock.

- Back in the storybook, encounter a puzzle featuring metal blocks and a broken slime pipe. Utilize the stop stamp and tilt ability outside the book to position the blocks correctly and cross them to reach the broken pipe. Bring the word BROKEN to the Humgrump statue in the adjacent room, break the statue, and the art scroll will be revealed. This also unlocks the ‘Bust Buster’ achievement.
- After saving Thrash in the Deep Doom, you’ll be able to purchase the next scroll from the vendor.
- In the Deep Doom on the page where you need to fold the book to transfer a pipe between pages, go outside the book, and use the bomb stamp to blow up a block on the left side to reveal the art scroll.
