The Possible Solution to Defeat the Smile Demon: A Closer Look at the Smile 2 Trailer

Not in the mood to sleep tonight? Despite the abundance of jump scares, there are some hints that could potentially lead to defeating the nefarious Smile Demon.

Undoubtedly, horror movies have dominated the year 2024 with releases such as Longlegs, In a Violent Nature, The First Omen, and MaXXXine. This trend is set to continue as Halloween approaches, with the return of some highly-anticipated franchises.

Just like the release of Terrifier 3, Smile 2 will also be making its way to theaters on October 18.

The footage also depicts the character of Skye Riley, a renowned global pop sensation, succumbing to the curse just before embarking on a worldwide concert tour. As she delves further into the situation, she discovers that the insidious Smile Demon has attached itself to her.

Despite facing overwhelming odds, she finds support in expert Morris (Peter Jacobson), who discloses the key to defeating the demon: “We must eliminate you first.”

The next shot shows Morris opening the door to a run-down hospital room, where Skye, dressed in a medical gown, is preparing to inject a syringe into her neck. However, just as she is about to go through with it, a demonic incarnation of herself suddenly appears and terrifies her.

We will have to wait until the release of the new movie to learn more, but it does suggest that there is a solution to overcome the curse, and it requires dying – a difficult decision for Skye to make.
