The Potential Consequences of Yuji’s Ignorance in Jujutsu Kaisen

As the storyline of Jujutsu Kaisen progressed, it became increasingly chaotic. With the demise of Gojo Satoru, the situation appeared to spiral out of control as Ryomen Sukuna displayed his immense power. Despite the efforts of the Jujutsu High sorcerers, they were unable to defeat the powerful Demon King.

Despite having no other options, Yuta Okkotsu made a bold and unexpected move by “copying”Kenjaku’s technique and possessing Gojo’s body. This marked the start of the second round of the Battle of the Strongest in Chapter 262. With only a limited opportunity for Yuta to emerge victorious in Gojo’s body, there was a chance that the Jujutsu High sorcerers had overlooked a small detail.

Despite being left out of the planning and plotting, Yuji’s exclusion was necessary to prevent the information from potentially reaching Sukuna through him. However, his lack of knowledge could still lead to further complications.

This article is based on speculation.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Consequences of Keeping Yuji Uninformed About Yuta and Gojo’s Plan

It is crucial to comprehend Team Jujutsu High’s strategies. They had devised a set of backup plans in the event of Gojo’s defeat. Each member, including powerful fighters like Yuta and Maki Zenin, as well as supporting sorcerers like Shoko Ieiri and Arata Nitta, had their own designated roles to play.

Kinji Hakari’s assignment was to distract Uruame and prevent them from joining the Sukuna battle. At the same time, Yuta’s mission was to eliminate Kenjaku, with the assistance of Fumihiko Takaba who acted as a wildcard to keep Kenjaku occupied. Other sorcerers, including Hajime Kashimo and Hiromi Higuruma, were also enlisted to participate in the fight.

Despite Yuta’s important role in the battle due to his unique abilities, Maki was prepared to provide backup in case even he couldn’t defeat the King of Curses. Miguel, Larue, and Atsuya Kusakabe also joined in the fight to take down Sukuna, but unfortunately, their efforts were not enough to defeat him.

Despite facing significant opposition due to the potential risks and uncertainties, Team Jujutsu High ultimately revealed the final part of their plan in Jujutsu Kaisen. As a last resort, Yuta would utilize Kenjaku’s body-swapping technique to take control of Gojo’s body, a move that would ultimately determine the fate of their mission. Despite the gravity of their decision, the team stood firm in their determination to see the plan through.

Despite Mei Mei and Todo Aoi’s concerns about Sukuna potentially being informed of their plans due to his connection with Yuji, Yuji was deliberately kept out of the loop. This was likely because they didn’t want Yuji to mistake Yuta/Gojo for an enemy, as he only associated forehead stitches with Kenjaku.

Furthermore, it is likely that he did not hear Sukuna refer to Gojo as “Yuta”during the battle. As a result, his lack of knowledge about the plan could cause him to also attack Yuta/Gojo. This could potentially lead Yuji to mistakenly believe that Gojo is being controlled by Kenjaku instead of Yuta. Additionally, Yuji witnessed Yuta being severely injured and taken away, and Todo has not updated him on the situation yet.

The fight between Sukuna and Yuta/Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen is taking place in a small barrier while Yuji and Todo wait outside. It remains uncertain if Todo has informed Yuji about the return of the individual. This is still a matter of speculation.

However, there are also opposing arguments as to why Yuji may not mistake Yuta/Gojo. Firstly, Yuji may perceive it as his sensei, Gojo, returning and engaging in battle. Additionally, in the midst of the clash between the two strongest, Todo could quickly inform Yuji of the ongoing plan.

During the Itadori’s Extermination Arc, Yuji demonstrated the ability to sense Yuta’s presence even before he arrived at the scene. This indicates that it is possible for Yuji to sense Yuta’s presence from Gojo as well.
