The power of Warzone’s aim assist manages to counter certain cheaters

Warzone players were stunned to see that cheaters using speed hacks were starting to find their match in the form of controller players benefiting from aim assist. Now some are using this to require aim assist nerfs again.

The aim assist debate has been a raging issue in shooters since crossplay began to gain popularity, creating a divide between keyboard/mouse gamers and their controller counterparts.

Many keyboard/mouse players believe that aim assist offers an unfair advantage to controller users and this clip which is starting to go viral clearly seems to prove them right.

In a game that was so far normal, the streamer Falnets, who plays on a controller, had to face cheats using speed hacks moving around Vondel like Flash.

While the fight seemed lost in advance, the streamer ultimately had no trouble tracking the movements of the cheaters and eliminating them, to the great astonishment of keyboard/mouse players.

It didn’t take long for this clip to garner backlash, largely from keyboard/mouse players who couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

In the comments, some players suggested the game is a “joke” due to the aim assist being able to track cheaters so easily, while others even compared it to “legalized cheating.” “.

“If you still think CoD’s audio is fair and balanced after this clip, you have no right to complain about the audio adjustments EVER,” says content creator Westie.

“The guy is trying to fight speed hackers and the AA still won’t give up! It’s incredible.”

Obviously, this raised questions among players about aim assist being even more overpowered than they anticipated since technically one shouldn’t expect anyone to be able to track a speed hacker in this way.

While the major problem in the game is, of course, the abundance of cheaters, this has caused a stir that might cause some controller players to reconsider whether the aim assist isn’t perhaps a bit stronger than they initially thought.
