The Powerpuff Girls Make a Comeback on Cartoon Network After 10 Years

Sugar, spice, and everything nice have once again come together, as the beloved animated series, The Powerpuff Girls, prepares for a triumphant return to Cartoon Network. Fans of the show can rejoice as it will now have a regular time slot starting soon.

In the past few weeks, Powerpuff enthusiasts have had much to discuss. A trailer showcasing the now-cancelled live-action adaptation from CW sparked conversation, offering a peek into what might have been an interesting exploration of the girls’ lives.

The envisioned series aimed to delve into the lives of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, showcasing their experiences balancing childhood with the demands of being superheroes in Townsville. Unfortunately, the project was indefinitely shelved after the pilot episode.

The Powerpuff Girls Return on April 12

Mark your calendars! The Powerpuff Girls will officially make their comeback on April 12, integrating into a cherished Saturday morning lineup on Cartoon Network. The redesigned schedule features:

  • 9:00 AM – Teen Titans Go!
  • 9:30 AM – Miracle
  • 10:00 AM – Steven Universe
  • 10:30 AM – The Powerpuff Girls

Currently, fans can catch the original series on Max, but it will be leaving the platform on April 2. This timing aligns perfectly with the show’s revival on its original network, enhancing its nostalgic appeal.

The last broadcast of The Powerpuff Girls on Cartoon Network occurred in 2023, marking a special return to honor the series’ 25th anniversary. This upcoming revival, however, seeks to establish a more lasting presence. It’s noteworthy that the show hasn’t enjoyed a regular airing since 2014, when its final episode premiered.

Importantly, fans can look forward to the original series returning, rather than the critically divisive reboot from 2016, which had not resonated well with audiences.
