The latest comeback of IU has been a topic of discussion among Korean netizens, who have pointed out various reasons for its lukewarm reception. Some criticisms revolve around the mismatched song titles and lyrics, IU’s transformation from a beloved “little sister”image to a more trendy persona, and a departure from her original singing style.

Despite her efforts to gain international recognition, certain fans worry that she may inadvertently distance herself from her domestic audience. Some have proposed that she reconnect with her roots or find a way to blend her global ambitions with the preferences of her local fanbase.
