On May 12th, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute announced that NewJeans had fallen from 7th place to 20th place, experiencing a significant drop of 13 spots in rank.
Amidst worsening conflicts between ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin and their parent company HYBE, the brand NewJeans is currently in a state of confusion.
Upon learning about this news, internet users are sharing their thoughts, including comments like “HYBE appears to be upset with Min Hee-jin for claiming to be the mother of NewJeans,””Isn’t Bang Si-hyuk ashamed as a grown adult?,”and “The impact on their reputation is significant.”
In the meantime, HYBE has accused Min Hee-jin of “taking over management rights”and violating trust.
On April 22nd, HYBE released a statement announcing their launch of an audit focused on Min Hee-jin and ADOR’s management. They stated that they had obtained evidence of criminal activities during this audit.
Despite Min Hee-jin’s efforts to refute HYBE’s accusations as baseless, the company’s stock value has decreased by 12%, resulting in a market capitalization loss of 1.2 trillion won.
Despite the difficulties faced upon their return, the focus is on whether NewJeans can achieve positive results despite the conflict between their management agencies.
