The Reason Behind Jung Hae-in’s Statement: Nothing Much Will Change Before and After Attending Cannes

During the 77th Cannes Film Festival, which took place on May 21st (local time), Jung Hae-in was interviewed by News1 and asked about any changes he experienced before and after attending Cannes. In response, he stated, “Cannes is Cannes. It remains the same.”He also mentioned, “I have to return and put in more effort for the remaining filming. We have only completed about half of the drama.”

Similarly, Jung Hae-in emphasized the importance of self-discipline. He shared, “Working on this project has been a valuable learning experience for me. Observing senior actor Hwang Jung-min has taught me about the importance of self-control, professionalism on set, and dedication to the craft. Being a lead actor goes beyond just acting; it also involves maintaining a positive atmosphere, supporting the director and staff, and taking on various responsibilities. I have gained a lot of knowledge by observing his actions.”

During his career, Jung Hae-in stressed the significance of “mind control”. He admitted that constantly comparing oneself to past successes can lead to unhappiness. Working in the entertainment industry has taught him this lesson. Happiness and unhappiness are closely intertwined, and one’s perspective plays a crucial role. Excessive admiration and envy can cause anxiety and discontent. On the other hand, living in the present brings a sense of calmness. This is why he previously mentioned that there would not be a defining moment after Cannes.

“In the upcoming film, “I, the Executioner,”viewers will be taken on a thrilling journey as they join the team of veteran detective Seo Do-cheol (played by Hwang Jung-min) and the youngest detective, Park Sun-woo (played by Jung Hae-in), as they track down a notorious serial killer who has sent shockwaves through the world. This highly anticipated sequel to the 2015 hit film “Veteran”follows the determined detectives as they work together to bring the culprit to justice and has already garnered a lot of attention, with its predecessor drawing in 13.41 million viewers.”

The film titled “I, the Executioner”was showcased in the Midnight Screenings category at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
