Aspiring XDefiant players believe the game’s release is near after in-game currency appeared on the Xbox Store.
XDefiant is Ubisoft’s free-to-play FPS focused on competitive gaming. Players who were able to try out the various betas absolutely loved the game, but were disappointed to learn that its October release had been delayed indefinitely.
Ubisoft later confirmed that XDefiant is scheduled to launch before March 31, 2024, but according to reliable insider Tom Henderson, that’s not entirely sure.
He said: “It ultimately depends on whether executives want to add a last-minute feature that breaks the current version of the game and delays it again.”
But recently, players started noticing that XDefiant’s in-game currency, ‘XCoins’, were for sale on the Microsoft store. The only pack available was 500 XCoins for $4.49 and was bundled with the XDefiant open session with the release date marked as October 2023. However, the

But for many players, this hint is a sign that XDefiant is coming very soon. “This can only mean one thing: the release is getting closer,” said one Reddit user.
On X, Youtuber Jonnyy said: “We are SO close to getting this beautiful game.”
So the release of XDefiant finally seems to be getting closer, but without official word from the developers, it’s impossible to be sure.
