During the 2024 Summer Playoffs for the LCK, GenG strategically utilized Garen twice in their match against Dplus KIA. With both Chovy and Kiin expertly piloting the champion, it was flexed between the mid and top lanes, posing a challenge for Dplus during the champion select phase.

In the second Garen game, Kiin faced off against Nasus once again in the top lane. Despite ending the game with a score of 3/3/7, Kiin’s team, GenG, emerged victorious in the overall series with a score of three to nothing.
With only two games played, Garen has already proven to be a formidable force with a perfect 100% win rate in the LCK. As teams are constantly searching for unexpected picks to catch their opponents off guard, it’s likely that Demacia’s strength will once again be showcased in the near future.
