The Rise of the Broken Warzone Shotgun and its One-Shot Deletion Ability

The Rise of the Broken Warzone Shotgun and its One-Shot Deletion Ability

There is a shotgun in Warzone that is unexpectedly deleting enemies in one shot, but it is not the one that may come to mind.

In recent years, shotguns have received significant attention in Warzone. The Dragon’s Breath ammunition, which devastated Verdansk, and the powerful Lockwood 300 shotgun, known for its one-shot capability in Al-Mazrah and Modern Warfare 3, have both left a lasting impression.

Despite the devs repeatedly nerfing these troublesome shotguns, it typically leads to the entire category being shelved for a period of time. However, there is potential for this to change in Warzone.

According to popular Warzone expert TheKoreanSavage, the Deal Breaker blueprint for the Lockwood 680 is currently considered “broken”.

“In his video on June 26, the YouTuber exclaimed, “This shotgun is incredibly overpowered on Rebirth Island!”He continued, “It has an absurd one-shot range and completely dominates in combat.”

The recommended setup for the Lockwood primarily consists of the Crown Breaker Choke, Bryson Hammerforged Long Barrel, and Sawed Off Mod. Despite slightly increasing recoil, the choke significantly boosts the shotgun’s overall damage, while the other two attachments focus on enhancing movement speed.

  • Muzzle: Crown Breaker Choke
  • Barrel: Bryson Hammerforged Long Barrel
  • Laser: Hipshot L20
  • Stock: Sawed Off Mod
  • Underbarrel: FTAC MSP-98 Handstop

According to WZRanked stats, the Lockwood 680 has risen to a position just outside the meta. It is currently ranked as the 11th most popular gun on the list, sitting just behind the recently buffed MTZ-556 and MCW, and even ahead of the buffed BAL 27.

Despite the Season 4 Reloaded update, Shotguns remained untouched except for the KV Broadside’s JAK Jawbreaker Conversion Kit. This means that they have not been nerfed yet, giving you some time to fully utilize them, particularly on Rebirth.
