Cody Rhodes is determined to “finish the story”that The Rock interrupted during his WWE return, but both The Rock and Roman Reigns are equally determined to prevent that from happening.
The WrestleMania 40 tag team match on Saturday, April 6 will feature The Rock and Roman Reigns facing off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
The upcoming battle holds significant consequences for the main event on Sunday, which will feature Reigns facing off against Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. In the event that Reigns and The Rock are defeated, their team, The Bloodline, will not be permitted to be present at ringside. However, if they emerge victorious, the match will be conducted according to their own set of rules.
Rhodes aims to conclude his narrative by claiming the WWE championship, a title that eluded his wrestling legend father Dusty Rhodes during his own career.
However, Rhodes’ bold proclamation was met with criticism from both The Rock and Reigns, who appeared together on “The Tonight Show”with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.
Reigns stated, “I believe Cody is reading the wrong book at this moment, as his story is of no interest to anyone.”

Despite The Rock’s composed demeanor and promotion of the upcoming fight, Reigns clearly expressed his dislike for The American Nightmare.
Heading into this weekend’s Wrestlemania, Reigns has consistently come out on top in head-to-head matches against Rhodes.
Upon his return to the WWE in 2022, Rhodes secured a win against Rollins at WrestleMania 38. However, he suffered a defeat against Reigns at WrestleMania 39 the following year. Despite this setback, he remains determined to seek revenge against The Tribal Chief and complete his storyline as originally intended.
