The Rookie Middle-Aged Adventurer Anime Announces Release Date, Theme Songs, and More with New Trailer

The highly anticipated anime, Rookie Middle-Aged Adventurer, is set to make its debut on July 1, 2024. On Friday, May 24, 2024, the official staff of the anime released a new promotional video to officially announce the premiere date. In addition to this exciting news, the names of the new cast members and details about the series’ theme songs have also been unveiled.

In addition to the anime, the light novel has also been adapted into a manga with illustrations by Ogino. The production of the anime is being handled by Yumeta Company.

The Rookie Middle-Aged Adventurer Anime Premieres on July 1, 2024

On Friday, May 24, 2024, a new promotional video was streamed on the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for The Rookie Middle-Aged Adventurer anime. The video announced that the series will premiere on July 1, 2024, and also disclosed the broadcast details.

As stated in the announcement, the anime The Rookie Middle-Aged Adventurer will be broadcasted every Monday at 26:00 JST, beginning on July 1, 2024 (which is effectively Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 2 AM JST), on TV Tokyo.

In addition to TV Tokyo, Japanese viewers will also have the option to watch the anime on MBS on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 26:30 JST (which is essentially Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 2:30 AM JST), as well as on BS TV Tokyo starting July 5, 2024, at 24:30 JST (or Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 12:30 AM JST).

In addition, the PV showcases the challenges faced by the protagonist, Rick Gladiator, as he strives to fulfill his goal of becoming a proficient adventurer in his thirties. Along with Rick, the trailer also introduces the new cast members.

The official website for the anime has announced that Linux Laulot’s voice will be played by Ryuuho Nagaoka, and Katsuyuki Konishi will take on the role of Kelvin Urwolf. These additions will join the previously announced cast members for The Rookie Middle-Aged Adventurer, which are listed below:

Ashida Kushida sings the opening theme song for the anime, titled Arano ni Sake yo Bokensha-tachi, which translates to Bloom in the Wasteland O Adventurers in English. Chiai Fujikawa performs the ending theme, titled Sagashimono (Look for Something).

Shin Katagai is the series director at Yumeta Company, with Mari Eguchi serving as the character designer. The staff also includes Kasumi Tsuchida as the series composer and Tomokata Ohsumi as the music composer. Toshiki Kameyama is responsible for sound direction in the anime.

The anime adaptation of The Rookie Middle-Aged Adventurer is inspired by the light novel and chronicles the journey of Rick Gladiator, a thirty-something warrior with a desire to become an adventurer. Combining elements of action and comedy, the anime highlights Rick’s remarkable development as an adventurer under the guidance of the Orichalum Fist masters.
