Despite being trapped in the rigid high society, Oscar and the other woman quickly become close friends. However, Oscar is conflicted after witnessing the queen’s abuse of power and the resulting poverty among the common people. The story follows the struggles of these two women as they navigate the burdens of their families and their love for each other.
