Percival once enjoyed a tranquil life alongside his grandfather Varghese on God’s Finger, a peace that was drastically disrupted by Ironside, one of the most dangerous holy knights of Camelot, and possibly his father.
After Ironside brutally took Varghese’s life, leaving Percival to perish, he embarked on a quest for truth and answers. Throughout his journey, he uncovered the prophecy regarding the Four Knights of the Apocalypse and forged strong bonds with allies such as Nasiens, a master of poison magic, the truth-seeing Lady Anghalhad, the enigmatic fox Sin known as Lancelot, and the initially cowardly aspiring Holy Knight, Donny.
After a slew of challenges including rescuing Sistana, addressing issues in Cant where Donny’s previous ally was involved, and defeating The Dark Talismans, our heroes found themselves in the kingdom of Liones. Yet, Arthur remained unmoved, and Tristan dangerously approached the brink of losing control. If not for Lancelot’s Shining Road technique, they could have faced severe consequences. This moment set the stage for Lancelot’s battle against Arthur, as the others were too fatigued to assist.
Lancelot’s Challenge Against Arthur
With remarkable speed, Lancelot launched a rapid offensive against Arthur, landing multiple strikes, knocking out two of Arthur’s teeth, and causing some bloodshed. Arthur, who had exuded god-like confidence moments before, began to exhibit visible anxiety as he faced Lancelot in a reasonably matched confrontation.
In a critical moment, Lancelot shattered Arthur’s weapon when he attempted to strike down Tristan. Although Arthur’s sword repaired itself, Lancelot continued to evade and mock him for not utilizing his right arm, which had been bitten off during battles with the original Seven Deadly Sins.
This taunting became detrimental, as Arthur’s Chaos, housed in his right arm, allowed him to retaliate violently, pushing Lancelot back and inflicting damage. Furthermore, Arthur threatened the kingdom of Liones with waves of monstrous creatures until Lancelot’s magical pressure managed to subdue them. Although Lancelot struck Arthur in the chest, it was revealed to be a mere illusion as Arthur teleported away.
Ironside and the other Holy Knights of Camelot appeared from a ship hovering above, cautioning Arthur against provoking a full-scale war, especially with the other Sins (Gowther, Ban, King, and Diane) now focusing their efforts on Liones. Arthur, retreating with his ship, ominously proclaimed that the Four Knights of the Apocalypse had now attracted his full attention, vowing to unleash his wrath upon them.
The Gang Finally Takes a Breather
It’s noteworthy that the last ten episodes, detailing Percival’s battles against the Dark Talismans through to the aftermath in Liones, unfolded within a single day. Understandably, the protagonists are exhausted, especially after aiding in the kingdom’s recovery following the turmoil.
