The Pokémon community may have found out when the legendary Pokémon from the Scarlet and Purple covers will officially arrive in their shiny form, after months of images and modified creatures circulating online.
The Pokémon community is still officially waiting for two of Paldea’s most sought-after shiny creatures. The franchise’s Legendary Pokémon are never easily encountered or captured, and some of them are even absent from the game.
Without an official event, Koraidon and Miraidon, the two legendary Pokémon from the covers of Scarlet and Violet, are still missing from the game a year and a half after its release on Nintendo Switch.
Players have speculated a lot and want these additions sooner rather than later. But it appears that The Pokémon Company is reserving these shiny captures for a more in-depth event or Raid, as they are in the game’s data but not yet released.
When do you think shiny Koraidon and Miraidon will be released? byu/eleceng_29 inPokemonScarletViolet
“When do you think the shiny versions of Koraidon and Miraidon will be released?” Reddit user ‘eleceng_29’ asked the community while sharing screenshots of the two shiny legendary Pokémon from an X post.
The author responded himself saying he thinks it will be around October or November 2024, if a certain model is true. “This seems to have been the pattern for the last decade when it comes to releasing legendaries from shiny covers (around two years after the games’ release),” the user concluded.
“When EV ends and Gen 10 is on the way, like Zacian/Zamazenta,” one user said, comparing the Koraidon/Miraidon situation to what happened with Pokémon Sword and Shield as well. “So maybe when we get Pokémon Legends ZA we can get these Pokémon,” another joked.
When the shiny legendaries from the Scarlet and Violet covers are supposed to arrive is almost taboo in the community, as many users have reminisced about the previous shiny legendary Pokémon and how their availability was low in the world: “Remember to you if you’re from anywhere other than the US, Europe or parts of Asia,” explained user ‘Georgevega123.’
All told, the shiny versions of Koraidon and Miraidon are still missing from Pokémon Scarlet & Purple, and its players believe that the “two years after the game’s release”model could be the key to their release.
