The official staff of the Shiunji Family Children anime confirmed that it is scheduled to debut in 2025. This announcement was made on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 through a promotional video and teaser visual, along with the unveiling of the main cast and staff members.
The Shiunji Family Children anime is based on the manga series of the same name, created by Reiji Miyajima, the author of Rent-A-Girlfriend. The manga was first published in February 2022 in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine and has since released four tankobon volumes. The anime was produced by Doga Kobo.

On August 7, 2024, which falls on a Wednesday, the official website of The Shiunji Family Children anime, along with its X handle (previously known as Twitter), released a special promotional video and teaser visual. The announcement revealed that the series is set to premiere in 2025.
Despite not specifying an exact release date, the staff did mention a release window. Additionally, a brief video was released showcasing the character designs for Arata and other significant characters, as well as providing a preview of their character voices.
Simultaneously, the teaser trailer showcases various memorable panels from Reiji Miyajima’s manga series and unveils the logo.
In addition to the PV, the teaser visual for The Shiunji Family Children anime showcases Arata Shiunji, the oldest son of the Shiunji family, and his seven siblings posing for a family photo. The illustration effectively captures the distinct characteristics of each Shiunji sibling.
The Shiunji Family Children: Cast, Staff, and Plot
The main cast and staff members for The Shiunji Family Children anime have been announced, with Yuichiro Umehara, a skilled voice actor, taking on the role of Arata Shiunji, the eldest son of the Shiunji family. Chiaki Kobayashi will also be joining the cast as the voice of Shion Shiunji, the second son of the family.
Chika Anzai portrays Banri Shiunji, the beloved eldest daughter of the family known for her kind and dependable nature. Seiha Shiunji, the “smart and cool”second daughter, is voiced by Marika Kono, and Rie Takahashi stars as Oka Shiunji, the diligent and intelligent sister of Arata.
Hana Hishikawa portrays the role of Minami Shiunji, the fourth daughter of the Shiunji family who holds a record of three consecutive junior high tennis championships. Additionally, Kana Ichinose brings to life the character of Kotono Shiunji, the shy fifth daughter of the family.
Regarding the main staff, Doga Kobo has appointed Ryoki Kamitsubo as the director of the series, with Noboru Kimura responsible for the series composition and scripts. Additionally, Mikio Muto has been brought on board as the character designer, while Shota Horie, Ginga Hoshino, and Akki are collaborating on the music composition under the supervision of PHYZ’s director.
The Shiunji Family Children anime is a forbidden love comedy, adapted from Reiji Miyajima’s manga. It revolves around the protagonist Arata Shiunji, who resides with his five sisters and a younger brother.
Despite feeling cursed and believing he would never find a girlfriend, Arata’s luck takes a turn when he discovers from his father that he and his siblings are not biologically related.
