The Sims 4 Adding Lifesaving CAS Feature in Base Game Update

The Sims 4 players can look forward to a highly anticipated CAS feature being included in a future update for the base game.

As the release of Lovestruck draws near, the Sims 4 team has revealed new additions that will be included in the base game at no cost. One of these additions is the ability to assign styles or CAS items to various outfit categories.

The process for this is fairly simple. Currently, in CAS, you have the option to customize and dress your Sims in various categories, including Everyday, Formal, Athletic, Sleep, and more.

Therefore, if you desire for your Sim to have a consistent appearance across all outfit categories, including eyeliner, glasses, or other accessories, you will have to select them again each time you switch to a different category.

Typically, this requires locating the desired items among a multitude of other CAS options and selecting the appropriate color or shade.

The Sims 4’s upcoming base game update will be bringing this CAS feature to save players from all the hassle of customizing their Sims.

In addition, you may also consider removing or replacing these items during special occasions or to match your Sim’s outfit, which can make the process of creating a Sim quite time-consuming if you are aiming for a flawless appearance.

However, since this feature has now been included as a complimentary update in the base game, that will no longer be an issue. As announced during the official live stream, accessing this feature is as simple as clicking on the three-dot symbol next to the Everyday outfit category.

By doing this, a new tab will be opened, allowing you to select the categories to which you want to apply the style or CAS item. With the release date of The Sims 4 Lovestruck expansion pack confirmed to be July 25, this feature is just on the horizon, following the trend of previous expansion pack updates.

Make sure to back up your saved files and remove any outdated mods before playing the game after the update is released to prevent any potential in-game problems.
