The Sims 4 Unveils Vibrant Patch Featuring New Items and Hundreds of Custom Variants

The Sims 4 has introduced a plethora of new items and color variants completely free of charge with its latest September update.

In light of the cancellation of The Sims 5, many fans of the series have felt disheartened about the future of The Sims franchise—though some are somewhat relieved. Fortunately, exciting news has arrived to elevate our spirits.

Sims 4 players who’ve grown weary of the same old color options will be thrilled to learn that there are now 650 new color variants available for items and furniture. Additionally, there are 30 brand-new items, all at no cost.

The official The Sims account on X shared a video showcasing glimpses of these new items players can expect following the game update. New doors and archways come with a fresh color palette to choose from.

The highlight of this update is undoubtedly the addition of 650 new variants for existing base game items. Players can now enjoy vibrant swatches of furniture such as the Simplicit-Ease Chair, The Hipster Hugger, and even the Whipped Dream Cupcake Factory.

While some Sims fans may be concerned about competing games like InZOI stealing the spotlight, it appears EA is far from finished with the Sims franchise, especially with Project Rene still underway.
