The Star Wars: The Acolyte series brings the Jedi back to the forefront

The first trailer for the series is finally out, and it returns to the basics of the galaxy far far away by focusing on the thriving order of Jedi Knights.

Star Wars: The Acolyte falls into the category of films and series that Disney has created since its acquisition of the Lucasfilms studio. But if the latest productions have focused on characters already known to develop spin-offs, the next Star Wars story promises a completely new plot.

The series seems to seek to distinguish itself from its predecessors on many points: first of all thanks to its new chronology, never before seen in the universe initiated by George Lucas. Spectators will thus be transported into an adventure taking place more than a hundred years before the prequel films, when the order of knights was still far from failing.

We can also cite the first poster, recently published on social networks and showing a bloody lightsaber. The Jedi are in force, it’s true: but the threat also arises at this time, and it risks hurting.

The first Star Wars: The Acolyte trailer is filled with Jedi Knights

On Tuesday March 19, 2024, the first trailer for Star Wars: The Acolyte was released. The series has therefore revealed its very first images, never seen before.

One thing is certain: we are going to return to the fundamentals of Star Wars, to a time when the order of Force fighters was powerful and stable… which may not last. Because very quickly, a red saber appears and contrasts with the other colors.

In the opinion of many Internet users, the era chosen for this new tale would make it possible to discover an antagonist who has, until now, only been mentioned in the films: Darth Plagueis, Palpatine’s Sith master. But we’ll have to wait a little longer before The Acolyte reveals all his secrets and confirms the theory.

The first two episodes of Star Wars: The Acolyte will be available from June 4, 2024 on Disney+.
