The Story Behind GOT7’s BamBam’s Cryptic SNS Post About Stress and Pressure

On August 9th, BamBam was featured in a video released by the YouTube channel “ZIP DAESUNG”.

In the video, BamBam revealed, “Following my departure from JYP, I had considered retiring. After being in the industry for 7 years, I felt like my efforts were not being acknowledged despite my hard work. This led me to contemplate living with my mother in Thailand.”

BamBam explained that he initially rejected a call from his current agency, Abyss, but they continued to reach out to him. He would always ask them why they wanted to work with him, as other companies had also shown interest in him. However, Abyss was the only company that expressed a desire for him to be recognized in Korea, since he had debuted there. Eventually, he decided to give it one last try and made up his mind to join Abyss. During a break from his activities, he was given the opportunity to appear on “Transit Love 2”. Upon reflection, BamBam recalled, “During that period, I was ready to throw in the towel. I simply uttered those words without much thought. However, I never expected them to strike a chord with others. I learned that overthinking things is not the way to live life. It’s important to let things happen naturally.”

In July, BamBam shared a message on his SNS stating, “I prefer not to wake up once I fall asleep. It’s the only way I can truly rest.”This post, which was shared right before his August comeback, caused worry among fans due to its unsettling tone.

BamBam explained that he had deleted the post as he has been pushing himself since last year and still has a long way to go. The intense stress and pressure have taken a toll on his health, causing him to feel sensitive and emotional. He reassured everyone that he will continue to give his best this year, but also make time to rest. He apologized for any worry he may have caused.

At present, BamBam is promoting his latest album “BAMESIS,”which was released in August.
