The movie “Jeon, Ran”unfolds the narrative of two childhood friends entwined during the chaotic period of the Japanese invasions in Korea. ‘Jongryeo’ (portrayed by Park Jung-min), hails from the most influential military lineage in Joseon, while his counterpart ‘Cheonyeong’ (played by Kang Dong-won) serves as his devoted servant. After they are torn apart, fate brings them back together as adversaries—Jongryeo becomes a trusted adviser to King Seonjo (depicted by Cha Seung-won), while Cheonyeong rises to lead a militia.
In “Jeon, Ran”, King Seonjo is illustrated as he escapes the palace as war erupts, while ordinary citizens valiantly battle with the aspiration of breaking free from oppression. The film captures these moments through a lens of both authenticity and spectacle.
Beyond its gripping plot, the dynamic action sequences featuring Park Jung-min and Kang Dong-won are garnering significant attention.
