The highly anticipated Jentle Salon collection, which marks BLACKPINK Jennie’s third collaboration with Gentle Monster, will be released on May 1st. As expected of Jennie’s immense popularity, the collection sold out swiftly both in Gentle Monster stores and online.
As the day began, large crowds gathered outside brand stores in prominent cities such as Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, and Shanghai. Within a little over an hour after the release, a multitude of glasses and charms were quickly purchased from Gentle Monster’s official website and TMall. By the end of the day, the entire Jentle Salon collection had sold out twice on Gentle Monster’s website.
The Jentle Salon collection had been highly anticipated by fans, who were eager to get their hands on the pieces.
The glasses models on the brand’s website and e-commerce platforms were all sold out quickly. Despite this, Gentle Monster provided reassurance to customers by including a “To be Restocked”note on the product pages.
Coincidentally, the day before, Jennie’s collection was the subject of plagiarism allegations due to its similarities to YVMIN’s jewelry line from 2020 to 2022.
A photo has been circulating, comparing the charms of Jennie’s latest collection to YVMIN’s Paradise collection from 2020 to 2022. The color schemes of the two collections also share remarkable resemblances.
The Jentle Salon collection is priced higher than Jennie’s previous collaborations with Gentle Monster, namely Jentle Home (2020) and Jentle Garden (2022). While Jentle Home was priced between $130-260 USD and Jentle Garden ranged from $259-480 USD, Jentle Salon is priced at $295-380 USD and includes 11 charm models ranging from $20-70 USD.
Jennie’s initial collaboration with Gentle Monster, the Jentle Home collection, caused a frenzy in 2020 as it quickly sold out. The surge in traffic was so immense that it even caused Gentle Monster’s website to crash.
Two years after their initial collaboration, the Jentle Garden collection once again proved to be groundbreaking with its second release, quickly selling out once more. Its popularity was so immense that certain stores had to limit purchases to three glasses per customer.
