The surprising discovery of a Pokémon Go player after 2 years of play

A Pokémon Go player was shocked to discover he had been missing out on key improvements to the game’s features for over 2 years.

Pokémon Go has been around for almost a decade now. Over the years, the game has added a variety of content to continue to attract players, with new missions, Pokémon, and other activities released almost every month.

However, the problem with a game that has such a wide range of content is that it becomes very easy to miss certain specific features, gameplay elements, and more.

Pokémon Go trainer discovers core feature, two years after debuting the game

A player felt frustrated after only discovering how to rate his Pokémon two years after starting his Pokémon Go journey.

I’ve been in this game for nearly 2 years casually and just discovered “appraise” . Wish I could turn back time and never built them. byu/AEsirrr_ inpokemongo

The player in question shared his findings in a new thread on Reddit, saying: “I’ve been playing this game casually for almost 2 years and just discovered ‘rate’. I wish I could go back in time and never have built them.»

Rather than mock the author for missing such a crucial part of the game, fellow Pokémon Go fans flocked to the thread to offer support and advice.

One Redditor commented: “In 2016 there were no reviews. I had a whole team of Dragonos… all of them lousy. However, as they are over 3 years old, they give you a 20% increased luck rate when trading, so they have their uses. The chance rate increases from 5% after 1 year, to 10% after 2 years, to 20% after 3 years. Keep random stuff and let it age.»

Another Pokémon Go player added: “It’s a shame. But the good news is that IVs matter a lot less than most people think. There’s only about a 5% difference between an attack IV of 0 and an attack IV of 15! So, for example, your Rhinastoc with 3 ATK is about 4% less powerful than it could have been.

Yeah, it’s a shame but it’s not a huge waste of Stardust to have put it together. He’s still good.»

Another Redditor offered another suggestion, revealing that if the original poster has a Nintendo Switch, they can “send them to Home and you can hyper train them!”»
