This exciting announcement was made during the 5th Overlap Bunko All-Star Roundup Special live event, where a promotional clip and visual were shared. According to the teaser, the anime is slated to debut in 2025, with details regarding its main cast and production team also revealed.
This anime is adapted from the fantasy romance light novel series of the same name, created by author Koki Fuyutsuki and illustrated by Masami. Overlap began publishing the series in April 2021, and to date, six tankobon volumes have been released. Additionally, the story has a manga adaptation drawn by Mago Ayakita.

A new website and X (previously known as Twitter) account have been launched to facilitate updates, featuring the newly unveiled promotional video. The 30-second trailer hints at the beginning of the main character, Philia, as she departs from her homeland’s castle, the Kingdom of Jiltonia.
Audiences get their first glimpse of Philia, who has been sold to a nearby kingdom, through the promotional video. The accompanying teaser artwork provides a beautiful portrayal of her, dressed exquisitely and wearing a subtle smile. The official site characterizes Philia as someone who is “Too perfect to be lovable.”
Yui Ishikawa will lend her voice to Philia in this adaptation. More cast announcements are expected soon. Furthermore, the primary production team has been introduced, with Shuu Watanabe directing the series at TROYCA. Keiichiro Ochi is overseeing the series composition, while Shuhei Yamamoto handles character design duties.
The original creators have expressed their excitement for the anime adaptation. Koki Fuyutsuki, the author, thanked everyone involved in the project, highlighting the essential support from readers.
