On December 18, 2023, HoYoverse officially announced the debut of two new units in the game during the upcoming Lantern Rite festival in 2024. Among them was Xianyun, also known as Cloud Retainer to players.
Gaming, a 4-star Pyro character who wields a Claymore, will be featured on both Furina’s rerun and Sigewinne’s debut banner. This event will take place from June 25, 2024, to July 16, 2024.

Gaming abilities in Genshin Impact
Normal Attack: Stellar Rend
- Regular Attack: Executes a maximum of 4 consecutive hits.
- Charged Attack: Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents. At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.
- The Plunging Attack involves descending from mid-air to hit the ground below, causing damage to enemies in its path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Elemental Skill: Bestial Ascent
After executing the Wushou arts, Gaming swiftly jumps into the air, utilizing the potent Bestial Ascent technique. From there, he will unleash the formidable Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider during his descent.
Plunging Attack: Charmed CloudstriderThe DMG from Plunging Attacks triggered by Bestial Ascent is converted to Pyro DMG that cannot be overwritten by other elemental infusions. Upon landing, Gaming will lose a set amount of HP. However, this method cannot decrease Gaming’s HP below 10%. The DMG dealt by Charmed Cloudstrider is classified as Plunging Attack DMG.
Elemental Burst: Ring of Bursting Grenades
While in a “Wushou Stance”, Gaming sends his partner, Lion Man Chai, flying forward. This move inflicts area of effect Pyro damage and Man Chai will return to Gaming after rolling through the targeted area and causing destruction. As soon as Man Chai returns, Gaming’s Elemental Skill will be reset. If Gaming performs a plunging attack with 50% or more HP, Man Chai can be summoned once more.
Gaming Constellations in Genshin Impact

Level 1- Blessing Bringer: When Gaming and Suanni’s Gilded Dance Suanni Man Chai reunite, Gaming’s HP will be restored by 15%.
Level 2- Plum Blossoms Underfoot: Whenever Gaming is healed and the amount exceeds his maximum health, his ATK will be boosted by 20% for a duration of 5 seconds.
Level 3- Awakening Spirit: Enhances the level of Bestial Ascent by 3, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
Level 4- Soar Across Mountains: Whenever Bestial Ascent’s Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider successfully strikes an opponent, Gaming will be restored with 2 Energy. This ability can be activated every 0.2 seconds.
Level 5- Demonic Roar: Raises the Level of Suanni’s Golden Dance by 3, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
At Level 6, the skill “Bestial Ascent”will have its Plunging Attack enhanced. The Charmed Cloudstrider’s CRIT Rate will be increased by 20% and its CRIT DMG will be increased by 40%, while also expanding its attack range.
Best Gaming Artifacts in Genshin Impact
The ideal Artifact set for a Gaming character would be the 4-piece Marechaussee Hunter, as it enhances their CRIT Rate in accordance with the rate at which their HP changes. Alternatively, the 4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames set would be beneficial for increasing Pyro DMG and amplifying Overloaded, Burning, and Burgeon DMG by 40%.
Finally, we recommend the Flower of Paradise Lost set only for players who intend to utilize Gaming as a primary Burgeon DPS. This is because the 4-piece bonus enhances the damage of Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reactions by 40%.

Top Gaming Weapon in Genshin Impact
A 5-star weapon is not necessary to fully utilize Gaming’s abilities. In fact, the 4-star Claymore Serpent Spine is the optimal choice for his weapon slot. Another great option is the Mailed Flower, which was obtainable during the Floral Pursuit section of the Windblume’s Breath event.
We suggest choosing the latter weapon if you plan on using Gaming as a Burgeon DPS. However, if you are simply looking to equip a 5-star Claymore on Gaming, we recommend Beacon of the Reed Sea for its high CRIT Rate main stat.

Best Gaming Team Composition
Bennett is a great healer in Genshin Impact.
The ideal team composition would consist of Gaming, Furina, Xianyun, and Bennett. This combination would maximize the potential of Gaming’s Plunging Attacks and HP fluctuations, with Furina and Xianyun serving as secondary DPS. Additionally, Bennett’s ATK boost would prove valuable, especially with Gaming’s sixth Constellation activating and imbuing their attacks with Pyro.
In a team focused on the Vaporize Elemental Reaction, Gaming could be placed as well. If this is your choice, we suggest having teammates like Yelan, Xianyun, and Bennett. However, for a different approach, you could substitute Yelan with Xingqiu and Xianyun with either Sucrose or Kazuha.
