The Weight of Being BTS’s Leader: RM Opens Up About Mental Health Struggles

On May 25th, BTS’s official YouTube channel released a video titled “MMM (Mini & Moni Music) – RM”. In the video, RM admitted, “In our team, I am usually the one who speaks on behalf of everyone, saying all the right and nice things. That is my role. However, in reality, I am just a regular 29-year-old guy living in Korea. My life may be slightly different from others, but it is nothing special. For the past ten years, we have felt a sense of pressure to always be mindful and unique. If I continued to worry about others’ opinions and expectations, I felt like I would lose myself.”
