Attention horror fans, prepare for a trick instead of a treat as the “worst horror of 2024″has just been released on Netflix.
Despite the horror domination this year, it’s an impressive accomplishment. We’ve had an abundance of options, such as The First Omen, In a Violent Nature, MaXXXine, and Longlegs, all of which have proven to be exceptional additions to the genre.
Despite its release in May, Tarot was met with a lackluster response. The horror film revolves around a group of friends who unknowingly unleash malevolent forces from a cursed deck of tarot cards.
Despite being described as one of the worst movies of 2024 so far, Tarot has consistently been labeled by both critics and fans as the worst horror film of the year, receiving only 18% and 59% on Rotten Tomatoes respectively.
Despite receiving negative feedback, Tarot has made its debut on Netflix as part of its August lineup, gaining a new audience as the movie is discovered by a fresh batch of viewers.
According to a statement made by an individual on X/Twitter, the Tarot horror movie on Netflix should be classified as a comedy because they are unsure of what they are watching.
“According to one person, the Tarot movie on Netflix has a rating of 4/10. Another person stated that Netflix added Tarot and they are curious to see if it lives up to the negative reviews.”
Another person added, “I agree with the 18% Rotten Tomatoes rating for The Tarot movie. The acting was terrible and it was just a really bad film overall. It seems like even the actors didn’t like the script. I wouldn’t recommend watching it. Sorry Netflix, this one was a disappointment.”
Despite some negative reception, there are still those who have enjoyed the movie, such as this individual who stated, “I went in with low expectations and ended up having a great time with the Tarot scenes.”
“The creature design was excellent and there were some intense kills for a PG-13 film. The dialogue may have been a bit lacking, but the visuals were impressive. The movie evoked a high school horror atmosphere reminiscent of early 2000s films.”
