THESE Idols Purposely Unfollowed Each Other to Create ‘Drama’ — But the Result Was Hilarious

During a live stream, THESE K-pop idols talked about a time when they had unfollowed each other on Instagram. However, the fans’ response to their supposed “falling apart”was not as they had anticipated.

During a recent fan broadcast, NCT Dream members Mark and Chenle recounted a time when they attempted to create a “drama”within their fandom by unfollowing each other on Instagram.

The events of this story took place years ago when Chenle reached out to basketball player Stephen Curry via direct message. Being a devoted fan, he was anxious about receiving a reply, especially since the athlete was not currently following him.

Chenle wanted to confirm if they could still view the message even if they were not following each other on SNS. He requested his co-member to unfollow him and also asked Mark to erase their entire conversation. However, Mark declined as he was attached to their conversation.

After unfollowing each other, the “maknae line”member shared his true intention behind the action – to spark a “drama”within their fandom, NCTzens!

Before mutually following each other, they waited patiently for fans’ responses; nevertheless, the outcome was not as they had hoped.

Chenle’s initial desire was to read comments along the lines of, “Did their relationship come to an end?”Mark then concurred by asking, “What is the current situation between them?”

Despite their excitement and expectation to create a stir, the two were ultimately disappointed by the underwhelming response from fans, or lack thereof. In fact, the lack of response was so negligible that they hardly even noticed it.

Upon discovering this story at a later time, fans found it amusing and playfully teased the idols for seemingly wanting to make headlines in media outlets.

Fans also justified their lack of awareness, stating that they had no motive to verify if they were still following each other at the time because there was no indication of any tension between the two within the fandom.

Mark and Chenle are both members of NCT’s sub-unit NCT DREAM. The group will be dropping their full English single, “Rains in Heaven,”on August 23 on different music streaming services.

The song has a harmonious blend of rhythmic drums and bass and emotional synths, reminiscent of 1980s-style pop.

The song also conveys a heartwarming and consoling message of understanding and empathizing with the struggles and weariness of listeners in life. Through this, the seven members aim to provide hope and serve as a source of support for them.

NCT Dream’s next stop on their world tour “THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM()SCAPE”will be in Bogota, Colombia on August 31st. During this American leg of the tour, they will unveil their newest song, “Rains in Heaven,”for the first time.
