Pokémon Go trainers have taken the time to “brag” about their massive shiny collections, with some fans claiming to own more than 1,000 shinys.
For many trainers who enjoy Pokémon Go, a lot of the fun lies in collecting as many Pokémon as possible to fill out the Pokédex.
However, Pokémon Go also has a Shiny Dex, which tracks each shiny variant of Pokémon. So, many also take on the mammoth task of completing a full Shiny Dex.
Now, trainers who have amassed huge collections of these rare monsters have flaunted their catalogs on social media, leaving some fans amazed at the number of shinies these lucky trainers have.

A post on the PokemonGoBrag subreddit sparked discussion among the community after a trainer asked a simple question: “How many shinies is normal to have?”

The original poster attached a screenshot showing that he had collected an impressive total of 1043 shiny Pokémon, with some impressive finds like Original Form Dialga, Giratina, and Groudon.
He said: “I have a little over 1k of shiny which I think is a show off.” Of course, this statement opened the floodgates for other trainers to share their own shiny loot.
“I’m at 3889 so you’re off to a good start…” claimed one fan, while another said: “I have 1593 in storage [and] 647 saved in the ShinyDex.”
Many players also said they were close to 1000 shiny, but needed a little more time.
“969 here for reference,” a trainer said. Another added: “I have 833. I’ve been playing since pretty much the beginning. My son has been playing for about 14 months and has 175 as background.”
Considering how rare shiny Pokémon are, these numbers are quite impressive. Hopefully this lucky trainer will one day be able to fully complete their Shiny Dex.
