These Two Countries Stand Firm Amidst LoL’s Ahri Ban Wave Protest

Some players worldwide have started to ban Ahri in protest of her new Immortalized Legend skin, excluding these two countries.

The ban on protests for the League of Legends Immortalized Legend Ahri skin has commenced. Gamers from various parts of the globe have initiated a mass ban on Ahri, preventing other players from utilizing the champion and flaunting the pricey new skin.

The protests were a reaction to Riot’s decision to release the latest Hall of Legends skin for a record-breaking price of $450 USD in League of Legends. Players have expressed their discontent with Riot through various means, including these protests.

Despite the widespread protests, it appears that not all countries were in agreement. Further investigation has revealed that a select few have chosen to abstain from participating. Interestingly, statistics from various League of Legends websites show that Ahri’s ban rate has remained relatively consistent in both Korea and Turkey.

Ahri’s Immortalized Legend skin was the cause of the ban protests.

According to both OP.GG and u.gg, Ahri’s ban rate has significantly increased to approximately 20% in regions such as Oceania, Europe, and North America. This is nearly three times higher than her previous ban rate, indicating a significant impact from the ongoing protests on the champion’s statistics.

Despite this, Korea and Turkey were exceptions as their ban rates did not experience significant changes. In Korea, there was only a slight increase of one percent from approximately five to six, which was much lower compared to other nations. Likewise, Turkey’s ban rate only rose by two percent, going from five to seven percent.

Unfortunately, statistics regarding the Chinese servers are not currently accessible. Therefore, there is no solid evidence about China’s reaction. However, it is evident that the player community on these servers does not seem overly concerned about the Ahri skin release.

It is uncertain what impact these protests will have in the future, but with Riot’s introduction of a new skin tier and RP bundle, it is probable that this will not be the final instance of high-priced skins in League of Legends.
