Third Generation Idol Faces Backlash for Explaining Absence from Music Show

In a recent revelation that has sparked debates among fans of K-pop, Hanse, a member of the third-generation idol group VICTON, has become the talk of the town for revealing the reasons behind his absence from music show promotions.

Despite having made appearances on multiple music shows in the past as both a group member and solo artist, Hanse’s recent absence from broadcasts has been readily observed by his fans.

The revelation was made on Bubble, a well-known communication platform, where Hanse openly talked about the financial challenges that come with music show appearances.

Hanse highlighted the significant costs involved in preparing for these performances, referring to them as a form of “debt”owed to the idols. He explained that this debt continues to increase with each show and is only cleared upon completion of the standard seven-year contract. During this time, it is reported that idols do not receive any income.

Despite Hanse’s candid discussion of the financial difficulties, it received a combination of positive and negative responses from both netizens and fans.

Although some understood and related to his honesty, there were those who felt uneasy about idols discussing practical issues on a platform usually used for more casual interactions.

Upon reading the comments of netizens, it became apparent that talking too realistically in front of fans may not be a wise decision. One netizen expressed their thoughts, stating, “I initially believed it was only my opinion, but now I am convinced that discussing financial matters in front of fans is not advisable.”Another netizen went as far as to question the importance of delving into deeply rooted resentment, stating, “I find it exhausting to constantly discuss such emotionally charged topics.”

Despite facing criticism, Hanse remained resolute in his position, using Instagram to directly confront the situation.

“Just overnight, I became a whistleblower, exposer, and emotional appealer, but I’ve happily completed my team activities, and my job satisfaction during promotions was very high. Of course, there were difficult times, too, and I was hurt a lot by it, but when I think of those times, they are precious memories. But don’t judge just because of the words I sent through the fan platform app and the screenshots that have been cropped and posted online.I’ve said this before, but I am not generalizing anything, and I’m not saying the team I was in was like that. And even more so, I’m not complaining that it was unfair, or difficult, or hard.”

Through a series of stories, he made it clear that his purpose was not to make sweeping statements or express dissatisfaction, but rather to bring attention to the challenges faced by idols in the industry.

“There is no one these days that isn’t having a hard time. It’s just hwaiting to you and me and them. Although we live in an era of hate, and are being hated on by someone, let’s all be strong. I think we’ve all become sensitive because times are hard.”

He stressed that his team’s experiences were specific to them and requested that fans refrain from making judgments based solely on isolated comments that have been taken out of context.

As the discussion surrounding Hanse’s revelations progresses, his honesty has sparked wider dialogues about the financial challenges of being an idol and the necessary boundaries between artists and their fan bases.
